The Barn Cabin is our most private and unique cabin of all. Its great for honeymoons, anniversaries or just a weekend getaway. It does not get any better than this one. Recently renovated with 100 year old heart pine, oak and hemlock, it oozes with character and ambience. The furnishings are hand made by local craftsmen with a flair for working with walnut, cedar, poplar and black cherry.

The Barn Cabin's "ooh's and ah's" start when you open the antique black cherry front door into the living room. From the beautiful heart pine floors to the white-washed old spruce and poplar bead board walls, you will know you are in a special cabin. A full wall of windows showcase the quiet peaceful view across the valley. The soft whirr of ceiling fans adds to the serenity.

The Barn cabin has a carport, queen bed, electric log stove in the bedroom, bath, DirecTV, full kitchen, A/C, washer/dryer, and gas log stove in the comfortable living room.

Walking out on the deck you have Adirondack chairs to rest in, look through an old poplar grove down to a pond, across the big lake to the French Broad River. Becky Mountain and Rich Mountain loom above. At night the moonlight illuminates the valley from this vantage point and you will hear the owls, fox, coyote, Canada Geese, frogs, and nature at its best. Outside you have your own firepit bordered with 100 year old stones adding a special touch to this already great experience. You will leave wishing you could stay longer.
